RESILIENT KIDS CLUB

Helping Kids Build Calm, Confidence, and Connection

Engaging, brain-body-based sessions & classes that help children understand their emotions, regulate their nervous system, and grow essential life skills—through movement, play, and connection.

What is Resilient Kids Club?

Resilient Kids Club is a specialized, small-group program designed to help children build emotional regulation, confidence, and resilience through a brain–body approach that truly meets them where they are.

Through fun, active sessions, children learn how their brain and nervous system work, how to notice and manage their energy, and how to navigate big feelings with greater confidence. Each class blends movement-based regulation activities, sensory supports, teamwork games, and social-emotional skill-building — all thoughtfully designed by a licensed school psychologist to support the real needs children are carrying today.

Many of the children who come to Resilient Kids Club are bright, capable, and trying their best, yet have struggled in traditional school settings or other group activities. Over the past several years, I’ve seen more and more kids walking into my office carrying invisible backpacks full of stress — often living in a constant state of “high alert.” When a child’s nervous system is overwhelmed, it’s like a computer with too many tabs open or a traffic jam in the brain. Focus, flexibility, and calm become harder not because the child isn’t capable, but because their system needs support.

Resilient Kids Club was created to meet this need in a way traditional environments often can’t. Rather than asking children to push through rigid expectations or fit into systems that weren’t designed for them, we intentionally design the environment to support nervous systems first. Movement is welcome. Sensory tools are expected. Participation is flexible.

Our programs are intentionally created for children who may struggle with anxiety, ADHD, sensory differences, learning differences, autism, or big emotional responses. Rather than asking children to adapt to rigid expectations, we design an environment to support their nervous systems first.

At Resilient Kids Club, movement is welcome, sensory tools are expected, and participation is flexible. Children are supported by trained adults who understand that behavior is communication and that kids do well then they can. Through consistent relationships, small group cohorts, and skill-building experiences, children are given the opportunity to feel safe, capable, and included -- often for the first time in a group setting.

This is not a drop -in activity or a one-size-fits-all class. It is a thoughtfully designed community where children are supported exactly as they are, while building skills they need to feel calmer in their bodies, more confident in themselves, and more successful in everyday life.

Whole-child support rooted in brain-body connection

Rather than a one-size-fits-all solution, Resilient Kids Club offers several interconnected programs. Children may benefit from one program or a combination — and we’ll help guide that process.

Brain Body Balance

Foundations Regulation & Sensory Support

Brain–Body Balance (B3) focuses on helping children feel more regulated, organized, and grounded in their bodies — which supports attention, emotional control, and confidence.

Through sensory-rich movement, balance activities, rhythm, and body awareness, children learn how to:

- notice when their energy is too high, too low, or just right

- use movement and sensory tools to regulate their bodies

- build coordination, focus, and body awareness

B3 is often a helpful starting point for children who experience big emotions, sensory sensitivities, impulsivity, or difficulty staying regulated in group settings.

Mindful Movement& Yoga

Calm, Awareness, and Stress Relief

Mindful Movement & Yoga supports children in slowing down, tuning into their bodies, and learning tools to manage stress and anxiety.

Using gentle yoga-inspired movement, breathing, and mindfulness practices, children practice how to:

- recognize body signals related to stress or overwhelm

- calm their nervous systems through movement and breath

- build confidence and self-trust

This class emphasizes how movement feels, not how it looks. Participation is flexible, and children are never expected to perform or hold poses perfectly.

Feelings Force

Social-Emotional Learning & Connection

Feelings Force helps children better understand their emotions, express themselves safely, and practice social skills in a supportive group environment.

Through guided activities, games, and discussion, children build skills related to:

- emotional awareness and expression

- coping with frustration, worry, or disappointment

- navigating peer interactions and relationships

There is no forced sharing or pressure to speak. Children are supported in participating at their own pace while building confidence and connection over time.

Executive Functioning Lab

Focus, Organization & Follow Through

Executive Functioning Lab supports children in developing skills needed for everyday success at school and home.

Children practice strategies related to:

- attention and task initiation

- organization and planning

- managing frustration and overwhelm during challenging tasks

Skills are taught in practical, developmentally appropriate ways and always paired with regulation support — because focus and follow-through are much harder when a child’s nervous system is overwhelmed.

How the Programs Work Together

Each program targets a different area of development, but they are designed to complement one another:

Brain–Body Balance (B3) builds the regulation foundation

Mindful Movement & Yoga supports calm and body awareness

Feelings Force strengthens emotional and social skills

Executive Functioning Lab supports focus and everyday demands

Children may start in one program or benefit from participating in more than one, depending on their needs and readiness. Growth is not linear, and we’re happy to help families think through next steps.

Now Enrolling for Brain Body Balance (B3)

Brain–Body Balance (B3) is the foundational Resilient Kids Club program and the class currently open for enrollment. This

8-week, prepaid small-group series is open to all children ages 7–12, including both boys and girls, and is designed to support regulation, focus, and confidence through sensory-based movement and body awareness.

B3 is especially supportive for children who experience big emotions, sensory sensitivities, difficulty with focus or impulsivity, or stress in traditional group or extracurricular settings. Rather than asking children to “push through,” this program meets their nervous systems where they are and teaches practical tools they can use in everyday life.

What Do Children Learn in B3?

Through structured, sensory-rich activities, children learn how to:

notice when their energy is too high, too low, or just right

use movement and sensory strategies to regulate their bodies

build coordination, body awareness, and confidence

experience success in a group designed to support their needs

Movement is welcomed, sensory tools are expected, and participation is flexible.
